We understand that hazards associated with our field of work including: soil trenching, large equipment operation, electrical substations and transmission lines, traffic, weather and other hazardous materials and conditions. We are adamant about workers wearing the appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment for the site and weather conditions. Project specific Health and Safety Plans are prepared for large projects and remote sites, as required. Our employees, subcontractors and others associated with our work are informed of safety hazards and procedures associated with their work site. Safety meetings are held frequently to train employees about hazards and health and safety requirements associated with their assigned project and site.
The implementation of our health and safety program is supported by the cooperation and commitment of all our employees. We will therefore:
- Actively involve our employees, subcontractors and partners in developing and sustaining a positive health and safety culture.
- Continually develop necessary competencies by providing information, training, instruction and supervision that will enable our workforce to comply with all health and safety requirements and to perform their duties safely.
- Promote a work environment where everyone makes safety a priority
- Continue to seek employee participation and views on health and safety.
We recognize that our health and safety program is advantageous to employees and the company by minimizing the likelihood of injury while safeguarding the environment, ultimately avoiding disruption of our work’s progress. We aim to continually improve upon our health and safety program by making it a team effort.
