Civil Inspector / Materials Tester
Work will be on utility, commercial, and residential developments in the Intermountain West, and will include quality control of soil and concrete placement. Tools needed for position will be provided by company, which may include company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone.

Responsibilities
Inspection and observation of soil compaction, freshly mixed concrete, foundation excavation and reinforcement; ensure construction compliance with plans and specifications; soil and aggregate sampling; and in-depth daily reporting. Position will require occasional out of town work (per diem provided).

Qualifications
Honesty and integrity are integral with the work we are asked to perform, and are therefore qualities an inspector must possess and utilize each day.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to provide care and maintenance for a fleet truck.
Ability to move from one site to another and quickly learn site specific standards.

Personal Skills
Microsoft Excel and Word, with good writing ability and use of English language
Detail oriented and organized; Punctual
Ability to work well and tactfully with others

Education and Experience
Certifications to perform this work are required, including radiation safety training and ACI field concrete testing technician level 1, and are paid for by the company.
Civil Inspector & construction industry experience preferred

 

Licensed Civil Engineer (Utah)
Most work will be on land development projects, and will include the design and drafting of roadways, utilities, and storm drainage systems throughout the Intermountain West, but often can be expanded to various other engineering tasks, making for a fulfilling variety of skills used and developed.

Responsibilities:
This position provides an engineer the opportunity to be a project manager who oversees and directs design projects from start to finish.  AutoCAD will be the primary tool used to draft and create a variety of commercial and residential land developments.  Frequent interactions with clients, city representatives, and other engineers will enhance the day to day work environment.

Qualifications:
Utah licensure in Civil Engineering.  Excellent proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to work with survey data.  Minimum of 5 years of AutoCAD experience.  Project management experience is required, and the ability to meet with clients and municipalities to explain and defend design details.

 

Position Filled
Storm Water Inspector
Work will be on utility, commercial, and residential developments in the Intermountain West, and will include construction site storm water inspections. Tools needed for position will be provided by company, which may include company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone.

Position Filled
CAD Technician / Civil Designer / EIT
Most work will be on land development projects, and will include working with engineers and surveyors to provide drafting of roadways, utilities, and storm drainage systems.

Responsibilities:
This position is a great opportunity to showcase AutoCAD design and drafting skills, as it entails a variety of needed drawings.  It includes drafting of a variety of commercial and residential land development projects, working under the direction of a Professional Engineer or Land Surveyor.

Qualifications:
Proficient skill with AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory, with a minimum of two years of experience using AutoCAD for civil engineering design.  Knowledge of surface creation and the ability to work with survey data is required.  Drafting related course work in college is preferred.  Fast, accurate and personable.

 

Position Filled
 Geotechnical Engineering Technician
Work will consist of field soil identification and sampling from test pits and soil drilling in preparation for geotechnical analysis and design.  Position will require learning Unified Soil Classification System soil identification, which will be taught on the job.

Qualifications
Engineering or construction industry experience preferred.  Proficient writing skills necessary.  A valid driver’s license and the ability to provide care and maintenance for a fleet truck.

 

Position Filled
Land Surveyor Crew Chief
Work will include field surveying, construction staking, topographical surveys, and working under a licensed professional surveyor.

Responsibilities
Position requires accurate and thorough land surveying work at various jobsites, including commercial, residential, or energy infrastructure.  Ability to drive company vehicle to remote jobsites and work independent or with a crew member.

Qualifications
Minimum two to three years of field surveying experience.  Competent in use of Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and related field surveying equipment.

 

Position Filled
 Geotechnical Engineer
Work will focus on preparing geotechnical recommendations for energy infrastructure and commercial and residential land development.

Responsibilities
Project and department management for geotechnical engineering.  Project management requires evaluating development plans to establish geotechnical investigation parameters, coordinating field investigation and laboratory analysis, and utilizing this information to prepare geotechnical reports.  Reports may require various foundation designs, including deep foundations and drilled piers.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, and licensed as a Professional Engineer.  Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, gInt.  Proficient writing skills necessary.  Minimum four years of geotechnical engineering experience.
